Base Access. All Non DOD Affiliated personnel must enter through the Broad Avenue Gate. All vehicles and persons entering through this gate will be searched before being granted access to the Installation. The Broad Avenue Gate will be open for inbound traffic from 0530 to 0830 only.
Restricted Areas. U.S. Navy Installations are restricted areas controlled by the commanding officer in accordance with 50 U.S.C. Section 797 and Navy regulations. Entry into the installation constitutes consent to search of the person, the person’s vehicle, and property under the person’s control.
Political Activities. Political activities, pamphleteering, speeches, placard/banner, political T-shirts, displays and other similar activities are NOT allowed aboard the installation. Anyone who engages in these activities may have their permission to visit the installation withdrawn.
Removal from Installation. Persons may be removed from the installation at the discretion of the installation commanding officer. Persons who are removed from the installation or ordered to not return to the installation shall not be allowed aboard the installation without permission of the installation commanding officer.
Prohibited Items. The following items are prohibited from being brought aboard the installation by visitors:
1. Mace, pepper spray, or other defensive chemicals, sprays, or powders.
2. Knives of any kind.
4. Illegal drugs or paraphernalia.
5. Flammable liquids.
6. Club weapons.
7. Spray cans.
9. Other weapons of any kind.
10. Toxic Industrial Chemicals
11. Ice coolers will be allowed/retained in privately owned vehicles but NOT carried to the event.
The start and finish lines are at Ladd Circle. All runners are required to wear a bib and a timing anklet.
Medals will be given at the finish line. Timing anklets will be collected here.
All Non DOD affiliated participants will enter NCBC Gulfport through the Broad Avenue Gate and follow the Special Event signs toward the designated parking area. Those with DOD Identification may enter through the Pass Road Gate.
All NCBC Gulfport housing residents are encouraged to walk to the event. Parking is free of charge to all participants
All bags brought into the Start/Finish area are required to be checked in. A gear check label is provided to you as a separate tab on your bib. It is your responsibility to place it on your bag when you drop it off at the Bag Drop Tent. We ask that you not put valuables in your gear bag. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items the race is not responsible for bags not picked up by 1:00 p.m.
The race will be scored and age category prizes awarded based on NET TIME, meaning you will only be timed from when you cross the start line to when you cross the finish line. The start will have a corral start, sending heats of 65 runners every 10 min, there are no assigned heats. Teams will be timed from when the 1st member crosses the start line to when the last member crosses the finish line.
Please go to the start line when you are ready to start, heats will begin at 7:05 am and end at 8:15 am.
You must wear your Timing Anklet properly in order to be timed. Fasten the chip to your ankle. Make sure it is not loose; once you have crossed the finish line volunteers will help you remove the anklet.
There are NO strollers, bikes, roller blades, or dogs allowed on the course.
Cameras and GoPros are strictly prohibited.
There will be 5 marked water stations.
The entire course will close at 11:00 p.m. Anyone on the obstacle course after this time will be picked up and transported to the finish line.
4 safety pins must be used to secure your bib to your shirt or shorts. They are provided to you.
5 aid stations will be located along the 5 mile obstacle race. Aid stations are located at approximately 1 mile from each other.
All participants will receive a bottle of water, an official race t-shirt & and a commemorative Finisher’s Medals.

Packet Pickup will be on Race Day at the Grinder located near the parking area. The person picking up the packet must show confirmation form or Picture ID.
The Ladd Circle area will feature vendor and sponsor booths as well as a Fire Truck Shower and restrooms.

Awards for the first and second place finishers in men, women, masters male & female, youth male & female, and all teams, categories.
This 2 mile mud run is for children under the age of 12. Children participating in this run must be accompanied by an adult. There is a flat fee for one child and one adult with an additional fee for each additional child.
Each child will receive a t-shirt and medal. Each parent will receive a t-shirt.
The start time for the Family Fun Mud Run is 8:30 am. There is only one heat for this run. This is not timed a timed event.
