Duties :
- ensure proper use of the facility
- safe operation of the equipment
- provide expertise
Group/Classes Training.- $19.00/hr
Duties:
- lead groups/ classes safely in related field of expertise (based on your certification)
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The employee will perform basic fitness orientation, identify and correct unsafe fitness techniques, supervise intramural sporting events, clean and maintain facility and equipment, and perform administrative duties as needed.
- Greets customers and checks IDs to ensure only authorized patrons utilize the facility.
- Ensures customers are aware of all regulations and rules are followed while utilizing the facility.
- Sells products from pro shop area and ensures that funds are properly entered into the point of sale system. Prepares Daily Activity Report and deposits money for accounting.
- Performs general housekeeping duties such as ensuring entry area is neat and clean at all times. May assist in cleaning restrooms, policing grounds, sweeping, mopping and emptying trash receptacles in facility.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Must have current, accredited NCCA/DECA Personal Trainer or Group Fitness certification to be considered.
- Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
- Must pass all applicable records and background check.

NCCA/ DECA PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION IN PERSONAL TRAINING, OR GROUP FITNESS, IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION.

One year of specialized experience directly related to the duties described above. Qualifying experience must have been equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Knowledge of MWR policies, rules and res involving the work area.
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic to compute charges, disperse change accurately, and prepare reports.
- Knowledge of cash handling experience.
- Knowledge of basic fitness, aquatics and sports principles.
- Knowledge of safe use and operation of fitness equipment.
- Skill in use of Microsoft Office programs.
- Skill and ability to provide fitness aquatics and sports training.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

WHAT ARE PREFERENCES? Preferences are advantages in the candidate selection process. Individuals can claim the following preferences:

2.
