PURPOSE:  Provides the functions related to on-site building management.

 

LOCATION:  Lakeside naval Support Facility, PASCAGOULA, MS – Unaccompanied Housing, Naval Construction Battalion Center, Gulfport, Mississippi.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  The incumbent provides the functions related to on-site building management. Perform inspections of vacant rooms and common areas daily checking for cleanliness and maintenance problems. Conducts other inspections with the Site Manager, Regional Manager, or CNIC staff as requested. Acts as an escort when Public Works or contractors require access to guestrooms. The incumbent performs various maintenance related actions associated with their assigned building. Initiates trouble calls and work requests for any maintenance problems. Performs minor maintenance actions (changing light bulbs, preventative maintenance on fire extinguishers, replace air filters, etc.). Follows up on all corrective actions to ensure completion and satisfaction of the guest. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for the control of the furniture, fixtures, and equipment in their assigned buildings. Coordinates with front desk and housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are ready for occupancy. Provides input for short and long range planning. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ANY SHIFT- DAYS/EVENINGS/WEEKENDS/HOLIDAYS

Must possess a valid state driver license.  Requires three years of work experience that demonstrates knowledge of basic principles, concepts, standards, regulations, and administration related to maintenance operations. Professional knowledge of the lodging organization, administration, policies/procedures, and supervisory practices in conducting day-to-day operations. Must be skilled in the use of a personal computer and various software programs, including knowledge of the property management system. Must possess basic math and reading skills along with the ability to effectively communicate, orally, and in writing, with personnel of all grades and ranks.  This position is subject to completion of a satisfactory background or National Agency Check (NAC) in accordance with CNIC policy.

 

VETERAN’S PREFERENCE:  Qualifying veterans must submit a copy of their DD-214 with their application for employment.

 

SPOUSAL PREFERENCE: The time period of eligibility for spousal preference begins 30 days before the military member's reporting date at a new duty station outside of the current duty station's commuting area and applies without time restriction except that spouses seeking preference with less than six months’ time remaining in the area may be non-selected. Spousal Preference forms are located in the lobby at the MWR Admin. Bldg. 352.  You MUST attach spouse’s orders. You MUST be referenced (family) on the orders. If you are not referenced by name on the order, you MUST provide a copy of your marriage certificate.
